Qualifications

• PhD in geology with a focus on igneous petrology and geochemistry.
• Experience with fieldwork is essential and collaboration with industry/government desirable.
• Ability to teach undergraduate to postgraduate courses and utilise digital/virtual teaching methods.

Responsibilities

• deliver high-quality teaching in geology and cross-disciplinary settings across undergraduate, honours and postgraduate levels, in classroom, field and laboratory environments
• design and deliver engaging educational programs and learning experiences that respond to student needs and meet curriculum requirements
• lead and undertake fieldwork, including the collection of field data to enrich teaching
• build partnerships with industry, academic and government organisations to advance teaching, learning and research outcomes
• develop a research profile appropriate to career stage and opportunity, evidenced through high-quality publications and success in attracting external research funding
• contribute effectively to administrative and service activities across the School
• foster a positive, inclusive and collaborative workplace culture
• support the strategic direction of the School, Faculty and University
