Job summary

Easygo is seeking an Identity Engineer to help build a modern cloud identity platform that authenticates every person and system at Easygo.

This greenfield role focuses on secure authentication and authorisation, with governance, automation and real-time risk-based controls. You’ll partner with engineering and product teams and balance day-to-day reliability with ongoing improvement, based in our Melbourne office.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on identity and access engineering in a mid-to-large or fast-growing organisation, owning an enterprise IdP end-to-end.
• Strong practical experience with a workforce IdP (PingOne highly regarded; equivalent enterprise IdP such as Okta, ForgeRock or similar is transferable).
• Experience treating identity as code — Terraform or similar IaC, version control, and CI/CD-style change management.
• Experience with AI coding and agent tools such as Claude, Cursor or Copilot as part of daily engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build and administer the workforce identity platform, including sign-on and MFA policies, and connectors across environments.
• Configure and maintain authentication and authorisation: SSO (SAML, OIDC/OAuth 2.0), adaptive access, MFA enrolment and recovery, session policy.
• Engineer identity governance (IGA) capabilities, including access requests, approvals and recertification.
• Own and improve IaC (Terraform) to enable reviewable, repeatable changes across environments.
• Automate recurring identity operations to reduce manual effort and measure impact.
• Design and tune risk-based authentication to detect and respond to risky sign-ins in real time.
• Serve as go-to identity SME and escalation point for IDAM across the business.
