Job summary

Northern Beaches Hospital in Sydney’s Northern Beaches region is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager Level 1 to lead the ICU. You will provide clinical and operational leadership, ensuring safe, compassionate care for critically ill patients within a modern, purpose-built facility.

You will lead a skilled nursing team, drive clinical governance, and collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver outstanding patient care, education, and continuous improvement in a high-volume ICU environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse-Division 1 with APHRA and relevant management qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in ICU or critical care nursing.
• Experience with roster management and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop the ICU nursing team.
• Champion high standards of patient safety, clinical excellence and patient-centred care.
• Oversee the day-to-day operational management of the unit.
