Qualifications

• Be a Registered Nurse, or eligible for registration, with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practising certificate.
• Experience in Intensive Care or an acute clinical setting (ICU, ED, HDU, OR) is required or desirable.
• Applications are encouraged from those starting or developing a career in Intensive Care (TPPP exposure welcome).
• Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure with a compassionate, patient-centred approach and commitment to ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct person-centred nursing care and case management on a shift-by-shift basis in ICU.
• Assessing patient status and delivering ICU therapies with the multidisciplinary team.
• Support and guidance to newer staff and student nurses providing nursing care.
• Provide health promotion and education to patients and carers to improve outcomes.
