SCEE Group is a leading provider of electrical, instrumentation, communications, security, fire and maintenance services. The ICT Systems Administrator role is based in Sydney with 2–3 years’ experience and a focus on securing and maintaining the company IT infrastructure.

You will work under the ICT Manager – Infrastructure and Networks to deliver reliable, secure systems, align with internal stakeholders, and support end-user devices and networks across the head office and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level IT or CS degree.
• 2–3 years’ experience supporting business-critical systems and networks.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Windows endpoints and servers; Linux/MacOS desirable.
• Experience with Microsoft AD, M365, Azure and Intune.
• Security controls, endpoint protection, and backup/recovery knowledge.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and after-hours work.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on ICT support for end users and networks at the head office.
• Handle site/project software and hardware setups.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and system management tools.
• Support Microsoft technologies (AD, M365, Azure) and SCEE Group applications.
• Maintain documentation, knowledge bases, and procedures.
• Assist in security controls and incident response activities.

About the Role

We are seeking an ICT Systems Administrator, with 2-3 years' experience, to join our ICT team based in our Sydney office.

Reporting to the ICT Manager – Infrastructure and Networks, you will be responsible for the administration, support and continuous improvement of the company's IT infrastructure, systems and network environments. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, you will help ensure our systems remain secure, reliable and fit for business needs.

In addition, some of your key tasks will include:

• Provide hands-on support for end-user devices, applications, and network connectivity at the head office.
• Site/Project setup of software and hardware.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Support and maintain Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Azure as well as the suite of SCEE Group applications
• Maintain and improve documentation, knowledge base articles, and support procedures.
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of security controls and compliance measures.
• Support endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and identity access management.
• Participate in security incident response and remediation activities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or Computer Science and have proven experience supporting and administering business-critical systems, networks and IT infrastructure.

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Strong knowledge of systems software, hardware, and networking protocols.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and networking fundamentals.
• Previous experience with scripting and automation tools, as well as different operating systems and platforms Windows (endpoint & server versions) is a must, Linux & Mac OS desirable as well as Android & IOS.
• High level experience with Microsoft related technologies (e.g. Active Directory Services), as well as cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Previous experience with the setup and administration of Microsoft InTune is desirable
• Previous experience with backup and recovery platforms as well as strong knowledge of security protocols and best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problems solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to adapt and explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong commitment to providing excellent customer services in a diverse and multi organisational environment.
• Flexibility to travel and perform after-hours work, if required.
