Job summary

Good News Lutheran College invites applications for an IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) Coordinator. This full-time, ongoing role includes a three-year appointment as MYP Coordinator with a 0.6 teaching load during the coordinator period.

You will lead MYP implementation, collaborate with staff to drive inquiry-based learning, and oversee assessment and reporting while aligning with IB and Australian Curriculum requirements. Child safety and Christian ethos are central to the role.

Qualifications

• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
• Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications.
• Ability to lead curriculum development, assessment and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead MYP implementation, curriculum planning and review in alignment with IB requirements and the Australian Curriculum.
• Guide teachers in delivering engaging, inquiry-based and concept-driven learning.
• Lead collaborative planning and professional learning to strengthen teaching practice.
• Coordinate assessment, reporting and student-led conferences, and oversee NAPLAN implementation and results analysis.
• Liaise with the International Baccalaureate Organisation and promote the MYP within the College community.
• Support student wellbeing and child safety while modelling the College’s Christian ethos and values.
