Job summary

APA Group is seeking an IAM Security Engineer to join our Cyber Security team in Melbourne. You will secure identity and access across the enterprise by operating and improving IAM, PAM and IGA capabilities, and ensuring compliant access to systems and data.

You’ll work with Delinea PAM, Microsoft Entra ID and Identity Governance services, troubleshoot lifecycle and access issues, and collaborate with application owners and technology teams to enhance security operations.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in IT, Cyber Security or a related field.
• Proven experience in IAM engineering, administration or service delivery.
• Hands-on experience with IAM, PAM or IGA technologies in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with supporting on-prem application stack.
• Strong knowledge of identity infrastructure including Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Scripting and automation using PowerShell and/or Python.
• Experience with Delinea (preferred), CyberArk or similar PAM solutions.
• Exposure to identity governance platforms such as SailPoint or Okta is highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders.

• Automate processes and improve operational efficiency using scripting where feasible.
• Participate in incident response, on-prem platform maintenance, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.

IAM Security Engineer

At APA, we’re looking for an IAM Security Engineer to join our Cyber Security team and play a key role in securing identity and access across our enterprise. You’ll help operate, support and improve our Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) capabilities under approved standards and processes, supporting secure and compliant access to systems, applications and data.

What you’ll bring

• Tertiary qualifications in IT, Cyber Security or a related field
• Proven experience in IAM engineering, administration or service delivery
• Hands-on experience with IAM, PAM or IGA technologies in enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with supporting on-prem application stack
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and identity infrastructure
• Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell and/or Python
• Experience with Delinea (preferred), CyberArk or similar PAM solutions
• Exposure to Microsoft Identity Governance, SailPoint, Okta or equivalent platforms is highly regarded
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with application owners, technology teams and end users
