Job summary

Hickory HR Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Site Manager for a high-profile hyperscale data centre project in Melbourne. You will oversee all on-site activities from handover to commissioning and client handover, coordinating complex MEP systems and critical infrastructure to meet strict quality, safety, and performance standards.

The role emphasizes strong on-site leadership, detailed scheduling, and effective coordination with clients and subcontractors to deliver on time while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Manager on large-scale commercial construction or data centre projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, commissioning processes, and coordination between services and trades.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary site teams in live or high-security environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain detailed construction programs for fit-out and commissioning within the overall project schedule.
• Coordinate delivery of highly services-driven environments ensuring alignment between design, trade coordination and on-site execution.
• Manage subcontractors across multiple disciplines (MEP, architectural, structural, commissioning) with focus on safety, quality and schedule.
• Maintain strong client, superintendent, consultant and commissioning team interface with progress updates and issue resolution.
• Ensure works comply with design, specifications, and commissioning requirements; maintain installation standards across all phases.
• Champion safety culture on-site through inspections, toolbox talks and risk management in line with HSE policies.
