Job summary

Water Technology Pty Ltd, an employee-owned Australian consulting company, is seeking a Hydrogeologist to join the Groundwater team across Western Australia and nationally. You will contribute to field investigations, data analysis, technical assessments and reporting while developing your consulting skills.

You will work in a collaborative team, undertake fieldwork, monitor groundwater projects and support client deliverables, with a hybrid work setup and opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Earth Sciences, Environmental Science or related discipline.
• 2-5 years' experience in hydrogeology or related environmental or geoscience field.
• Understanding groundwater systems and hydrogeological principles.
• Experience undertaking or supporting groundwater monitoring and field investigations including drilling supervision, bore installation and aquifer pumping tests.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
• Experience using GIS and data analysis tools would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A current Australian driver's licence and willingness to undertake fieldwork as required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with groundwater investigations, monitoring programs and drilling activities.
• Collecting, analysing and interpreting hydrogeological, geological and water quality data.
• Supporting groundwater sampling, bore drilling, installation and testing, groundwater monitoring programs.
• Preparing technical reports, figures, maps and data summaries.
• Assisting with hydrogeological assessments and conceptual groundwater model development.
• Supporting project delivery, including planning and coordination of field activities.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
