Job summary

WesTrac is seeking a hands-on Trade Assistant in Western Australia. You will work in a busy hydraulics workshop, operate a forklift, assist with sandblasting, painting, and assembly tasks, and help maintain equipment with a focus on safety and quality. Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Trade Assistant.
• Forklift licence is essential or willingness to obtain.
• Dogging certification is highly regarded.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Great communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience using safety and risk assessment tools (JSAs, Take 5s).

Responsibilities

• Safely move components using a forklift.
• Sandblast hydraulic components.
• Paint and shrink-wrap parts to quality standards.
• Assist with maintenance and minor repairs of the sandblast unit.
• Clean, prepare, and operate moving components.
• Work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Promote and contribute to a strong safety culture.
