Job summary

Genuine Parts Company in Australia is seeking a mechanical tradesperson to service and modify hydraulic and pneumatic equipment in our workshop and on-site. You will work on hydraulic power units, assemble parts, and test to meet customer specifications.

The role requires trade qualifications (mechanical) such as Fitter/Turner/Machinist or Plant Mechanic with hydraulic experience, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications (Mechanical) such as Fitter/Turner/Machinist or Plant Mechanic with hydraulic experience.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Fitting experience with fixed and mobile plant applications.
• Understanding the importance of accuracy and quality.
• Fault finding and mining equipment experience desirable.
• Low voltage electrical experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Workshop modification, reworking and testing of new hydraulic components to meet customer requirements.
• Manufacture and testing of hydraulic power units.
• Report on equipment following disassembly and inspection.
• Ability to work independently and lead other staff.
• Onsite hydraulic support for local customers.
