Job summary

McCullochs Hydraulic Engineers – Bendigo, Victoria is seeking tradespeople for Hydraulic/Mechanical Fitter roles. This full-time, permanent position covers field service and workshop work across diverse machinery and industries.

We welcome Hydraulic Fitters, Mechanical Fitters and Heavy Diesel Mechanics with hands-on fault-finding skills. Relocation assistance is available and the role offers above‑award pay and a monthly rostered day off.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter, Hydraulic Fitter, Heavy Diesel Mechanic or similar.
• Current driver's licence (essential).
• Forklift licence (desirable).
• MR/HR Truck licence (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Carry out field service, breakdown repairs and maintenance at customer sites.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic and mechanical faults on mobile and fixed plant.
• Service and overhaul hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, valves and associated equipment.
• Undertake hydraulic system testing, troubleshooting and commissioning.
• Work across a diverse range of machinery, equipment and industries.

McCullochs Hydraulic Engineers is seeking experienced Hydraulic Fitters, Mechanical Fitters and Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our Bendigo-based team.

With over 80 years of industry experience, we provide specialist hydraulic engineering, maintenance and repair services across a broad range of industries.

This is an excellent opportunity for tradespeople who enjoy hands‑on fault-finding, working on different types of equipment and getting out in the field to solve problems.

About the Role

• Carry out field service, breakdown repairs and maintenance at customer sites.

What We're Looking For

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with mobile plant, heavy equipment or industrial machinery.
• Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a team.
• Current driver's licence (essential).
• Forklift licence (desirable).
• MR/HR Truck license (desirable).
