Job summary

Berendsen Fluid Power is seeking a skilled Hydraulic Fitter to join our Newcastle workshop team. This hands-on role focuses on delivering high-quality cylinder repairs and hydraulic services to a broad industrial customer base.

Trade qualification and a valid Australian driver's licence are required. You will contribute to a safe, productive workshop culture and be part of Australia’s largest hydraulic solutions provider.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with hydraulic cylinder repairs and/or hydraulic systems.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and takes pride in quality workmanship.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Valid Australian driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hydraulic cylinder repairs, rebuilds, and reconditioning to a high standard.
• Diagnose faults and assess hydraulic components for repair or replacement.
• Assemble and test hydraulic hose and fittings assemblies.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
• Adhere to workshop safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
• Support the broader workshop team with day-to-day operations as required.
