Job summary

The Constructive Collective in Sydney is seeking a hydraulic services engineer to design systems across commercial, healthcare, education and residential projects. You will prepare reports, calculations, drawings and specifications, and coordinate closely with mechanical, electrical and fire disciplines in BIM.

You will join a collaborative, in-office team five days a week, engage with architects and builders, contribute to tender and project documentation, and help drive sustainable design and

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental or related discipline.
• Experience in hydraulic services design within the Australian building industry.
• Knowledge of sanitary plumbing, drainage, hot and cold water, stormwater and gas systems.
• Familiarity with fire protection design (hydrants, hose reels and sprinklers) valued.
• Strong NCC and AS/NZS 3500 understanding.
• Proficiency in BIM coordination and collaboration with architects, builders and other services engineers.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work in an in-office team five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Design hydraulic services for commercial, health, aged care, education, residential and defence projects.
• Prepare design reports, calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate services with mechanical, electrical and fire disciplines through BIM models.
• Respond to client, consultant and authority queries through design and construction phases.
• Review shop drawings and attend site inspections where required.
• Support the wider team on tenders, fee proposals and project documentation.
• Contribute ideas on sustainable design and building performance.
