The Opportunity

As Director – Hydraulic Engineering (Building Services), you will:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a Melbourne-based team of hydraulic engineers delivering complex Tier 1 and Tier 2 projects across commercial, health, education, childcare, industrial, heritage, and government sectors.
• Champion technical quality, innovation, and performance across the group.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, fire, and sustainability disciplines to deliver fully integrated building services solutions.
• Strengthen and grow client partnerships, leveraging your professional network and reputation to identify and convert strategic opportunities.
• Play a leading role in high-value bids, pursuits, and long-term framework agreements.
• Shape project strategies from concept to delivery, ensuring excellence at every stage.
• Represent the business externally through industry engagement, events, and thought leadership.

Who You Are

• 12+ years’ experience in hydraulic engineering within building services, in a consulting environment.
• Recognised for your technical credibility, commercial acumen, and ability to influence outcomes.
• Proven leader with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Comfortable and confident in engaging at executive level with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Commercially attuned, able to balance delivery with business development.
• Chartered Engineer (CPEng or equivalent).
