Job summary

Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Australia is seeking a Development Producer for TV & Online Content in Sydney. The role focuses on identifying, developing and delivering ideas for premium television and online content, working across Factual, Food, Entertainment and Internal Documentaries.

You will support commissioning across platforms, edit pilots and sizzles, and contribute to pitches and treatments, with an emphasis on audience engagement and platform discovery.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience producing and editing digital video for online platforms, supported by a portfolio or work samples.
• Strong practical editing skills for short-form content across platforms.
• Experience publishing to YouTube or comparable platforms is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and media literacy.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning editors to identify, develop and progress ideas for television and online content.
• Develop and produce content for SBS On Demand, YouTube and other third-party platforms.
• Edit pilots, sizzle reels, recuts and concept proofs to move ideas toward commission.
• Coordinate development activity and bring online and third-party platform thinking into the process.
