Job summary

Woollahra Council seeks an experienced Traffic & Transport Engineer to join the Engineering Services team on a permanent full-time basis. Report to the Traffic & Transport Team Leader and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative unit.

You will prepare reports for the Traffic Committee, assess developments for traffic impacts, and manage surveys and stakeholder communications with a focus on safe, efficient transport and parking solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in traffic engineering, civil engineering or related field.
• Proven knowledge of traffic, transport engineering and parking management.
• Experience with Development Assessment relating to traffic management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports for Traffic Committee and implement resolutions.
• Advise Planning & Development on traffic impacts and required conditions.
• Coordinate traffic, transport and parking surveys and data collection.
• Notify communities and stakeholders on traffic management proposals.
• Provide technical advice based on industry standards.
