Job summary

Box Hill Institute is seeking a Systems Engineer to maintain and enhance its enterprise infrastructure. You will support the stability, security and performance of the core data centre and hybrid infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud platforms.

You will work within the IT Infrastructure Services team, collaborating with vendors across a multi-campus environment to ensure reliable compute, storage and backup solutions including Veeam.

Qualifications

• Advanced Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent, with Azure/identity, virtualization, backup tech and ITIL experience.
• Experience in enterprise data centre environments with physical/virtual servers, storage and hyperconverged infra across multi-site environments.
• Hands-on backup, recovery, resilience, monitoring, lifecycle management, documentation and vendor/ MSP collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Keep the technology that supports teaching and business operations running reliably.
• Support stability, security and performance of the core data centre and hybrid infrastructure.
• Assist across on‑premise and cloud platforms including compute, storage, virtualization, backup and recovery (Veeam).
• Work with IT Infrastructure Services and external vendors across a multi‑campus environment (Azure and Entra ID).
