Job summary

Westfund is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to lead operations for around 240 staff across NSW and Queensland. Based in Lithgow, the role is hybrid with regular travel to regional sites. You’ll oversee employee relations, payroll, contracts and recruitment, reporting to the Chief People Officer and leading a team of five.

This hands-on leadership position focuses on practical process improvement, compliant policy application and partnering with leaders to drive People & Culture strategy.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior generalist HR role with leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Agreements, modern awards and employment legislation.
• Proven track record handling employee relations matters, investigations and disciplinary processes.
• Understanding payroll and HRIS; link contracts to conditions and policies.
• Bachelor-level or higher qualification in HR, IR or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee relations and support leaders with sound, timely guidance.
• Manage industrial relations, contracts and policy compliance across sites.
• Oversee payroll, contracts and records; ensure accurate pay and documentation.
• Direct recruitment and onboarding; advise on restructures and changes.
• Drive HR process improvements and explore practical tech/AI applications.
