Job summary

Westfund Health Insurance is seeking a hands-on HR Manager to lead HR operations for around 240 people across NSW and Queensland. You will oversee employee relations, industrial relations, contracts, payroll and recruitment, reporting to the Chief People Officer and leading a five-member team.

This is a practical, leadership role requiring sound advice, robust processes and proactive partnership with leaders and employees. Hybrid work with travel to regional sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior generalist HR role with team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise agreements, modern awards, contracts and employment legislation.
• Proven track record running employee relations matters, investigations and disciplinary processes.
• Experience linking HR policies to practical operations and payroll.
• HR policy writing and implementation experience.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to adviser for leaders on conduct, performance, attendance and wellbeing.
• Lead workplace investigations and disciplinary processes that are fair and timely.
• Coach leaders through difficult conversations.
• Oversee payroll, contracts and employee records to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and probation; support organizational change.
• Identify ways to improve HR processes and leverage data and technology.
