Job summary

Suncorp is seeking a senior BI/Data Analytics professional in Sydney or Brisbane to deliver and maintain performance, operational, customer and regulatory reports. The role focuses on enabling data-driven decisions within CPI Data, Analytics & Reporting and collaborating across Business Partnering and Data Engineering.

Candidates should have strong Tableau, SQL, Python and R skills, with Databricks experience considered an advantage, and a flexible hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems/technologies or quantitative discipline is mandatory.
• 7+ years’ experience in business intelligence or data analytics in financial services or IT.
• Expertise in Data Analytics Solutions (Tableau and Databricks).
• Advanced programming skills in Python, SQL, R, or similar.
• Experience in data engineering, sourcing data from core platforms and building insights layers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and/or maintain solutions to support performance, operational, customer and regulatory reporting.
• Ensure solutions align with CPI Data Analytics Strategy and business function goals.
• Build partnerships to identify opportunities and deliver end-to-end analytics solutions.
• Highlight gaps and champion new analytics solutions.
• Mentor team members in delivering data analytics solutions.
