Job summary

The Reserve Bank of Australia is seeking a Senior Auditor to join the Internal Audit team in Sydney. You will partner with stakeholders to assess governance, risk management and control frameworks, supporting stronger risk awareness and continuous improvement across diverse business areas.

Based in Sydney CBD with a hybrid 50% office/home arrangement, this fixed-term 12-month contract offers exposure to technology audits and a holistic view of the Bank’s risk environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering internal audits across diverse risk areas.
• Ability to work autonomously with appropriate oversight.
• Practical experience using data analytics to identify patterns and insights.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks and organisational risks.
• Familiarity with Global Internal Audit Standards and leading practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent assurance over governance, risk management and internal control environments across multiple risk areas.
• Evaluate governance frameworks, policies and controls for effectiveness.
• Deliver high-quality, risk-based internal audit engagements in line with standards.
• Contribute to audits involving technology risks and IT controls.
• Identify control gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Support enhancement of internal audit methodologies and data analytics usage.
