VicRoads is seeking a Release Engineer to lead the planning, coordination and execution of software and infrastructure releases across enterprise platforms. You will collaborate with DevOps, Engineering, QA and business stakeholders to ensure efficient, reliable releases aligned with governance.

The role requires experience in Agile delivery, strong CI/CD expertise and proficiency with Jira/Confluence, plus familiarity with AWS/Azure cloud services.

Competenze

• Eligibility to obtain and maintain Baseline Security Clearance.
• Advanced Jira and Confluence with workflow automations, notifications, approvals and reporting.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Experience in software release, deployment or DevOps roles within an Agile environment.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools.
• ITIL, DevOps Foundation or similar certifications are highly regarded.
• Experience within large-scale, complex or regulated enterprise environments is advantageous.

Mansioni

• Coordinate and support software and infrastructure releases across Agile delivery streams.
• Execute deployments across non-production and production environments, including version control and rollback activities.
• Work with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure environment readiness throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of CI/CD pipelines and release automation practices.
• Maintain release documentation, governance controls and change records.
• Monitor release performance, identify risks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
