Job summary

Metso in West Perth, Australia, is seeking an enthusiastic Project Engineer to support project execution for the grinding team. The role offers hybrid work options with a focus on contract scope, client relationships, and documentation across project lifecycle.

You will join a team of Project Engineers, Coordinators and Project Managers on large group projects, with responsibilities spanning design, procurement, and logistics to ensure on-time delivery and compliance.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and/or 3+ years in project roles with engineering/technical background.
• Ability to edit/update AutoCAD drawings
• SolidWorks experience beneficial
• Self-starter with high attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong MS Office skills; familiarity with EDM/SAP or equivalent
• Ability to read mechanical drawings
• Excellent time management, planning and organisation skills
• Ability to work under pressure within a multinational team

Responsibilities

• Manage portions of client contracts with focus on scope, aligning project supply with client requirements.
• Maintain and build strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and issue project technical and commercial documents.
• Perform document control activities.
• Involvement in logistics activities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures and maintain focus on safety.
• Assist with design, procurement and fabrication to meet schedules.
• Identify project risks and participate in risk reviews.
• Monitor and control project costs against budget.
• Provide progress reports and timely updates on schedules.
• Support procurement processes and participate in project meetings.
• Contribute to lessons learned and nonconformance investigations.
