Job summary

Agrifutures in Victoria is seeking a Senior Payroll Project Analyst to join on an initial six-month contract. This hands-on role focuses on supporting Time & Attendance implementation, validating EBA changes, and ensuring accurate payroll outcomes.

You will collaborate with Payroll, HR and external vendors across project and operational payroll activities during a period of significant transformation. Immediate start is available.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll experience within a medium to large organisation operating under multiple Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance, interpretation and payroll governance requirements.
• Proven experience supporting payroll projects, system implementations, upgrades or transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to systems such as UKG/Kronos, Chris21/iChris, or similar payroll and workforce management platforms.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Time & Attendance system implementation activities, including system testing, UAT execution, defect management and implementation readiness.
• Assisting with the testing and validation of Enterprise Agreement and payroll configuration changes, ensuring accurate payroll outcomes.
• Performing payroll reconciliations, data validation, back-pay calculations and compliance checks.
• Working closely with Payroll, HR, project stakeholders and external vendors to support successful project delivery.
• Providing additional payroll processing and administration support during peak periods.
• Maintaining testing documentation, process maps and project records to support audit and governance requirements.
