Job summary

The Cairnmillar Institute is seeking a mid-level Business Operations & Systems Analyst to enhance finance and operations processing. Based in Hawthorn East with hybrid work, you will drive requirements gathering, process improvement and system integration across finance, clinic, school and HR teams.

You will document business processes, develop functional specs, and design dashboards using Power BI to improve efficiency and data integrity.

Qualifications

• .Requires experience in business analysis, requirements gathering and process improvement.
• Bachelor level or higher in Business Analysis, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with financial/operational systems and integrations is preferred.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills (Power BI or similar).

Responsibilities

• Review existing processes to improve efficiency, controls and data integrity.
• Develop process maps, workflow documentation and SOPs.
• Gather and document business requirements across finance, clinics, school and HR.
• Design functional specifications for system changes (income, contractors, cost centres).
• Analyse payables, clinic income, payroll, donations and credit card workflows for improvements.
• Prepare data flow diagrams and user procedures to support system changes.
• Coordinate integration requirements between MYOB, PayPal, Stripe, Employment Hero and Paradigm school system.
• Liaise with vendors to implement solutions meeting business needs.
• Create dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI or similar.
• Contribute to data governance, compliance and controls.
• Lead stakeholder workshops and support change initiatives.
• Deliver system training and implementation support to staff.
