Job summary

Employment Hero is seeking an Accountant to support day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, journals and accruals. You will work with the Finance Manager and other accountants across inter-company and FX transactions.

The role requires a self-starter who can keep pace and maintain compliance, with a commercially-minded approach and strong critical thinking skills.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Currently studying for CA/CPA qualification (or looking to start).
• Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Experience with NetSuite is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile daily bank accounts across all global entities.
• Reconcile company credit cards and spend management platforms.
• Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.
• Prepare journal entries including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, intercompany transactions.
• Own the Fixed Assets Register.
• Complete month-end balance sheet reconciliations and resolve issues.
• Assist in external audits.
• Assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks and process improvements.
• Reconcile and variance analysis of Company spends.

What might your days look like

As our Accountant, you’ll play a crucial role for Employment Hero. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and other accountants to manage all of our day-to-day accounting, including reconciliations, journals, and accruals. You will also have exposure to inter-company and FX transactions.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work at a fast pace. You will be responsible for running the day-to-day accounts while also maintaining compliance. We’re seeking a commercially-minded accountant with great critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Reconciliation of daily bank accounts across all global entities
• Reconciliation of company credit cards and spend management platforms
• Supporting Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
• Preparing journal entries including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, intercompany transactions
• Ownership of the Fixed Assets Register
• Completion of month end balance sheet reconciliations ensuring that all reconciliation issues are investigated and resolved
• Assist in the external audits
• Assisting the Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks and involvement in standardising and optimising financial accounting processes
• Reconciliation and variance analysis of Company Spends
