Niche Talent Pty Ltd in Brisbane CBD is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join its Business Services team. You will work across a diverse client portfolio, with direct access to Managers and Partners and regular client interaction.

This role offers hybrid working, exposure to compliance and advisory work, ongoing training, and clear progression to Senior Accountant as you develop your technical skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an Australian Public Practice accounting firm.
• Currently undertaking CA/CPA studies or looking to commence.
• Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns.
• Exposure to Australian taxation and compliance requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar cloud-based accounting software.
• A positive attitude and willingness to continue developing technically and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns across companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
• Prepare BAS, IAS and other compliance requirements.
• Assist with Division 7A, CGT, FBT and other taxation matters.
• Liaise directly with clients and the ATO.
• Assist with tax planning and advisory work as your experience develops.
• Work closely with senior accountants, Managers and Partners.
• Manage your own workflow and deadlines across a varied client portfolio.
