Job summary

Talenza seeks an experienced Infrastructure Engineer (Hosting Specialist) to join a large, complex technology environment. This six-month contract offers extension potential and focuses on reliability, security, and automation of a hybrid cloud infrastructure, including on-prem platforms.

You will manage VMware, NSX, Azure integrations, Windows and Linux servers (RHEL), and drive improvements through scripting and cross-functional collaboration across cloud, network, and security teams.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise hosting or infrastructure environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud platforms.
• VMware expertise including NSX.
• Knowledge of enterprise storage and compute technologies.
• Windows and Linux administration, preferably with RHEL.
• Automation scripting using PowerShell, Python or Bash.
• Security-focused approach including patching and vulnerability management.
• Strong troubleshooting and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage VMware virtualization platforms including NSX networking.
• Administer enterprise compute and storage infrastructure.
• Support Windows and Linux servers, ideally including RHEL.
• Monitor platform availability, capacity, performance and security.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across multiple technology layers.
• Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, Python and/or Bash.
• Support patching, vulnerability remediation and infrastructure lifecycle activities.
• Contribute to technical documentation, operational standards and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with cloud, network, security and application teams.
