Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (VMware/NSX/Windows) to join its infrastructure team in Western Sydney on a 6-month contract with extensions. The role focuses on maintaining day-to-day operations while contributing to platform improvements.

Responsibilities include delivering reliable hosting platforms, disaster recovery planning, capacity management, and thorough documentation to support infrastructure services.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a hosting specialist.
• Strong VMware experience with exposure to NSX.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Windows and Linux.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Executes relevant Service Management processes to drive consistent service delivery for incidents, problems, change and requests related to Technology hosting platforms.
• Participate in the development of the Infrastructure strategy and roadmap.
• Design and build sustainable, secure, reliable and high performing Technology Infrastructure platforms to meet business needs.
• Manage the design of infrastructure components in support of solution design.
• Ensure both new and legacy hosting platforms are considered in the context of emerging Technology and business requirements.
• Implement plans for the reliable operation of the key platforms, including disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Evaluating and managing hosting resource and capacity requirements and plans
• Manages and maintains timely and accurate system documentation including change requests, technical and user guides, software asset and configuration registers, problem and resolution knowledge bases and other technical documentation
• Plans the development of new requirements, features and functionality of Infrastructure services to meet business requirements
