Job summary

Centorrino Technologies in Australia is seeking an Infrastructure and Systems Engineer to join our Staff Augmentation team. You will provide Level 2/3 support across Microsoft 365, Azure and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, highly available systems.

The role involves scripting with PowerShell, documenting procedures, mentoring the on-site ICT resource, and participating in after-hours incidents.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a Level 2/3 Infrastructure or Systems Engineer.
• Strong experience administering Microsoft 365 including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Entra ID.
• Hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services.
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Experience supporting VMware and/or Hyper-V environments.
• Strong networking knowledge across switching, routing, firewalls and VPN technologies.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premises with Azure.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, incident response and security best practices.
• Experience managing backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
• PowerShell scripting to automate administration and operational tasks.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in complex infrastructure environments.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and provide technical leadership.
• Proactive mindset with focus on documentation and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/3 technical support and escalation across Microsoft 365, Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams and Entra ID.
• Manage Azure resources including virtual machines, networking, storage and identity services.
• Maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Administer VMware and/or Hyper‑V virtualisation platforms.
• Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls and VPN connectivity.
• Monitor infrastructure health, identify risks and resolve performance issues.
• Support cybersecurity operations and threat remediation.
• Perform system patching, upgrades and vulnerability remediation.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate tasks.
• Produce technical documentation and SOPs.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues.
• Mentor on-site ICT resource.
• After-hours support for critical incidents and planned maintenance.
