Job summary

Centorrino Technologies Pty Ltd. in Australia is seeking an Infrastructure and Systems Engineer for a 6‑month contract to deliver Level 2/3 support across Microsoft 365, Azure and on‑prem infrastructure.

You will manage Azure resources, Windows Server, AD, and networking, while driving cybersecurity, backup and DR initiatives. You will automate tasks with PowerShell, document processes, and mentor an on‑site ICT resource.

Qualifications

• Experienced Level 2/3 Infrastructure or Systems Engineer.
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration incl. Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID.
• Hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services.
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Experience supporting VMware and/or Hyper‑V environments.
• Strong networking knowledge across switching, routing, firewalls and VPN technologies.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments integrating on‑premises infrastructure with Microsoft Azure.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, incident response and security best practices.
• Experience managing backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills to automate administration and operational tasks.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities across complex infrastructure environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and provide reliable technical leadership when required.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, documentation and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/3 technical support and escalation across Microsoft 365, Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams and Entra ID.
• Manage Azure resources including virtual machines, networking, storage and identity services.
• Maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Administer and support VMware and/or Hyper‑V virtualisation platforms.
• Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls and VPN connectivity.
• Monitor infrastructure health, identify risks and proactively resolve performance and availability issues.
• Support cybersecurity operations by responding to security incidents, applying security best practices and assisting with threat remediation.
• Perform system patching, upgrades and vulnerability remediation across server and cloud environments.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring successful testing and recovery readiness.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine administration tasks.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with vendors and third‑party providers to resolve infrastructure issues.
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to the on‑site ICT resource where required.
• Participate in after‑hours support for critical incidents and planned maintenance activities.
• Contribute to infrastructure improvement projects and technology initiatives.
