Job summary

MyState in Australia is seeking an experienced Information Security Engineer to join our team in Brisbane or Hobart, strengthening cyber security and supporting transformation initiatives.

You will implement security controls across on-prem and cloud environments, maintain configurations, support vulnerability management and IAM, and work with Technology teams to embed security best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems administration and security engineering within complex technology environments.
• Hands-on experience managing Windows, Linux and Microsoft Azure environments.
• Exposure to security frameworks such as NIST and Essential Eight.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Implement, manage and optimise security technologies across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Maintain and enhance security configurations across Windows, Linux and Azure environments.
• Support vulnerability management and remediation activities across infrastructure and applications.
• Assist with identity and access management controls including privileged access management.
• Work with Technology teams to embed security controls and best practices into day-to-day operations.
• Contribute to incident response, governance, audit and compliance activities.
