Job summary

Centorrino Technologies is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to safeguard information systems in Australia. You’ll implement security controls, monitor risks, and help align projects with regulatory standards.

The role requires an active NV1 clearance, a CS/IT degree, and experience in a client‑facing, managed services setting. You’ll collaborate across teams to strengthen security posture and provide training to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Active NV1 Security Clearance.
• Experience in a client‑facing role, preferably in a Managed Services environment within a project‑based role.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards such as Essential Eight, ISO 27001, and NIST.
• Proficient in Linux and Windows server administration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security policies and procedures for project environments.
• Monitor, assess, and manage vulnerabilities; configure security tools in collaboration with IT.
• Create and maintain documentation for security protocols and incident response plans.
• Stay current with cybersecurity trends and deliver security awareness training.
• Lead incident response efforts, including containment and recovery.
• Conduct cyber risk assessments to ensure compliance with government policies.
• Continuously improve cybersecurity services with new strategies and tools.
• Manage and maintain security operations to meet service levels.
