Job summary

AECOM's Sydney Highways team is delivering a diverse pipeline of road and highway projects across NSW and ANZ. We are seeking experienced Project Managers and Design Managers who thrive in complex infrastructure environments and lead multidisciplinary teams through all phases of project delivery.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate stakeholders and contribute to client engagement and future growth opportunities across the team.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years’ experience across highways, roads or major transport infrastructure projects.
• Experience in Project Management and/or Design Management within multidisciplinary infrastructure environments.
• Strong understanding of highways design, project delivery and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience working on projects for major transport authorities or infrastructure clients across Australia.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to manage competing priorities and project deliverables.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for solving complex infrastructure challenges and delivering quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of major highways and transport infrastructure projects from planning and tender phases through to delivery and project completion
• Contribute to design management and project delivery across complex road, motorway and civil infrastructure projects
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality technical and commercial outcomes
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders across major transport projects
• Assist in managing project performance across programme, commercial, safety and quality outcomes
• Work closely with senior leaders and technical specialists across the Sydney Highways business
• Support client engagement, project pursuits and future growth opportunities across the team
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative and high-performing culture
