Job summary

Breville USA, Inc. is seeking an experienced software/firmware engineer to craft embedded software across appliances. You will work with a cross-functional team including hardware, product and design to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions from concept to release.

The role requires 7+ years of embedded experience, proficiency in C/C++, Python, JS/TS and familiarity with AWS IoT platforms. The position is Sydney-based with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or similar.
• 7+ years' embedded software experience.
• C/C++ on embedded targets and PC for testing.
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting.
• Git, unit testing, code reviews, issue tracking.
• Python for high-end embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Create embedded software inside appliances delivering robust, scalable applications.
• Design reusable software using JS/TS, C/C++, Python across mobile, embedded and high-end embedded systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across hardware, firmware, product, and design.
• Optimize software and hardware interfaces for performance, reliability and scalability across devices.
