Jobgether is seeking an Embedded Linux Field Engineer for Devices/IoT based in Australia to engage with customers and deliver embedded Linux solutions. This role combines technical expertise and customer interaction, ideal for engineers passionate about both hardware and software.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience with Linux systems, ideally based on Debian or Ubuntu environments.
• Solid background in embedded Linux development, including tools such as Yocto and/or Buildroot.
• Experience with low-level system components such as bootloaders, BIOS/UEFI, firmware, and Secure Boot.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as C, C++, Python, Go, or Rust.
• Experience with Linux distribution packaging and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers during presales to understand requirements.
• Design and deliver embedded Linux systems for devices and IoT.
• Work across the Linux stack including boot processes and firmware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues.
• Collaborate with global teams for robust, production-grade solutions.
