Job summary

SBS Australia is seeking an experienced Editor/Producer for a full-time, 6-month contract based at our Sydney HQ in Artarmon. You will edit half-hour documentary-style episodes, collaborating with reporters and producers to deliver audience-focused international current affairs.

You will manage the post-production process from media management and ingest through translations, scripting and editing, with opportunities to explore creative storytelling styles across platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience editing long-form current affairs, factual TV, or documentary with broadcast credits.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and the wider Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
• High level of technical proficiency across Mac and PC systems.
• Editorial skills with experience writing scripts for current affairs or factual TV.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Edit half-hour documentary style episodes with reporters and producers.
• Oversee media management, ingest, translations, scripting and editing; ensure program delivery.
• Experiment with various visual storytelling styles to engage audiences across platforms.
• Support end-to-end post-production and archiving processes.
