Job summary

Thread is seeking a hands-on IT infrastructure leader to deliver and run our hybrid infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and on-prem components. You will define the infrastructure strategy, drive modernization and FinOps controls, and lead a small team to ensure resilience and performance.

Responsibilities include managing LAN/WAN, VPN access, AD/Entra, and security hardening while partnering with Security, Risk, and Audit to improve control effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Experience managing enterprise in-house networking and WAN/LAN/VPN.
• Proven track record in hybrid cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
• Knowledge of AD/Entra, identity and access patterns.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the hybrid cloud and infrastructure roadmap.
• Lead performance, capacity and cost optimisation across Azure.
• Establish operational practices for patching, lifecycle and health.
• Oversee enterprise networks, core systems, and identity services.
• Lead a small technical team with hands-on involvement.
