Job summary

Propel Recruitment is supporting a rapidly growing non-bank lender in appointing a Chief Financial Officer. You will partner with the CEO to drive visibility of revenue, margin, profitability and return on capital while guiding a 12–15 person finance team across multiple sites.

You will lead FP&A, governance and stakeholder engagement, including interactions with the board, and oversee pricing, capital allocation and funding structures to optimise profitability and liquidity.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic and commercial partner to the CEO in a lending environment (bank or non-bank).
• Strong understanding of lending economics and interaction of growth, pricing, funding costs, credit and shareholder returns.
• Deep FP&A and commercial finance experience with strong financial control and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and commercial leadership as a key member of the executive team.
• Own performance management, planning, and forecasting across revenue drivers and costs.
• Oversee pricing, product and capital allocation with rigorous business cases and post-investment reviews.
• Manage capital and cash, including warehouse funding and securitisation impacts on profitability and liquidity.
• Ensure financial control, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
