Job summary

Charterhouse is partnering with a well-regarded organisation seeking an Assistant Accountant in Brisbane. This hands-on contract role offers real responsibility from day one with hybrid flexibility in the Brisbane CBD.

You will support month-end, manage AP/AR, perform reconciliations, handle fixed assets and accruals, and assist during audits, contributing across the full accounting cycle.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be capable of supporting month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience with AP/AR processes and fixed asset accounting is expected.
• Ability to assist with audits and provide accurate, timely reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support month‑end reporting and keep the close running smoothly
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Complete reconciliations with accuracy and pace
• Look after fixed assets, accruals and prepayments
• Support the team through audits
