Job summary

Perpetual Limited is seeking an Associate, Agency & Trustee within Perpetual Corporate Trust in Sydney. You will support management of a portfolio of clients where Perpetual acts as trustee of notes, agent and security trustee, working with clients, lawyers and internal teams to review structures and identify risks.

You’ll help facilitate payments, monitor accounts, and ensure trustee duties are performed accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with exposure to debt markets or the financial services industry, ideally in accounting or a financial institution.
• Strong understanding of the Australian Banking and payments system is desirable.
• Intermediate Excel skills including pivots, v-lookups, complex formulas, and VBA.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day relationships with clients and external service providers, responding promptly to requests.
• Support Facility Agent and Security Trustee transactions, including reviewing structures and negotiating documentation.
• Identify legal and operational risks and elevate onerous or non-standard terms for review.
• Collaborate with Operations to facilitate payments and monitor bank accounts as required.
• Monitor client obligations to ensure trustee duties are completed accurately and on time.
• Liaise with external lawyers and clients in performing Agent and Trustee duties and obligations.
• Escalate adverse events and support client billing, accounts receivable and team priorities.
