Job summary

Perpetual Corporate Trust is hiring an Associate, Agency & Trustee to manage a portfolio of clients and trustee obligations. You will work with clients, external lawyers and internal teams to review transaction structures, support payments and monitor accounts, and escalate risks where needed.

The role requires a degree in business/accounting/economics/finance/law and 3+ years' experience in debt markets or financial services, with strong Excel (Pivots, VLOOKUPs, formulas) and VBA skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in business/accounting/economics/finance or law.
• 3+ years experience in debt markets or financial services, preferably in accounting or a financial institution.
• Understanding of the Australian Banking and payment system.
• Knowledge of the Australian debt capital markets and regulatory developments.
• Intermediate Excel skills: pivots, v-lookup, complex formulas, VBA.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day relationships with clients and external service providers.
• Support Facility Agent and Security Trustee transactions, review structures and negotiate documentation.
• Identify legal and operational risks and escalate onerous terms for review.
• Collaborate with Operations to facilitate payments and monitor bank accounts.
• Monitor client obligations to ensure trustee duties are met on time.
• Liaise with external lawyers and clients performing Agent and Trustee duties and obligations.
