About us:This role is in the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service's Building, Engineering and Maintenance Service Department (BEMS). BEMS provide planning, construction, operation and maintenance of all districts physical facilities, engineering systems, plant and equipment to meet strategic objectives within a quality environment. BEMS currently consist of professional, operational, administrative and trade staff. The Trades include electrical, fitting, plumbing and carpentry. These responsibilities are exercised through the management of in-house labour and the management and supervision of day labour and/or contractors where necessary to supplement in-house labour.We're committed to improving the health and wellbeing of people in Far North Queensland by providing high quality acute health care services.Our values were developed by our staff, patients and community.
