Service Stream is hiring multiple HVAC Technicians to support the PAS contract for the Australian Department of Defence. Positions are permanent full-time based at RAAF Woomera, SA, with a DIDO 12:9 roster and security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Refrigeration Mechanic Trade qualification.
• Experience with chilled water systems incl. chillers, AHUs and BMS control systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular preventative maintenance of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems and controlled environments.
• Diagnose and repair faults to maintain performance and prevent failures.
• Install new HVAC systems and components in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Monitor and adjust system controls for efficiency and temperature settings.
• Maintain accurate maintenance/repair records and parts used.
• Respond to emergency repair requests to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance/engineering teams to resolve complex issues.
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe workplace.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and repairing faults in HVAC systems to maintain optimal performance and prevent system failures.
• Installing new HVAC systems and components as required, ensuring all installations comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
• Monitoring and adjusting system controls to ensure efficient operation and compliance with designated temperature settings.
• Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including details of parts used and work performed.
• Responding promptly to emergency repair requests to minimise downtime and disruption to operations.
• Collaborating with other maintenance and engineering teams to resolve complex issues and optimise system performance.
• Following all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• A current Australian Refrigeration Mechanic Trade qualification, demonstrating a solid foundation in HVAC systems maintenance and repair.
• Demonstrated experience with chilled water systems and all components including chillers, air handling units and BMS control systems.
• Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment.
• ArcTick Refrigerant Handling Licence.
• Restricted or Open Electrical Licence.
• Valid driver's licence.

These roles run over a DIDO 12:9 roster.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
