Job summary

Wood Plc in Brisbane is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to maintain and troubleshoot industrial HVAC systems at the Ampol Refinery. You will focus on reliability, safety, and adherence to equipment strategies and manufacturer recommendations.

Join a team servicing plant and building systems across the contract with opportunities to manage subcontractors and contribute to uninterrupted operations in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in HVAC (industrial).
• Oversee plant site work and maintenance to ensure flawless execution.
• Manage inventory for all systems.
• Housekeeping and waste management.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and manufacturers’ recommendations.
• Experience managing onsite sub-contractors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC systems at the Ampol Refinery in Brisbane.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Ensure compliance with equipment strategies and manufacturer guidelines.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to complete tasks.

Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced HVAC Technician to ensure the HVAC systems are maintained at the Ampol Refinery, in Brisbane.

The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure the HVAC systems in plant and associated buildings are maintained in line with equipment strategies and manufacturers’ recommendations.

At this time, we will only consider applications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/VISA for this region.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HVAC Technician with proven record in equipment maintenance preferably in heavy industrial facilities or refinery, troubleshooting and repair, and great attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in HVAC (domestic and predominantly industrial)
• Recommending and overseeing plant site work execution and preparation to ensure flawless implementation/maintenance
• Manage inventory for all systems
• Housekeeping, including waste management
• Competent and knowledgeable of manufacturer and types of HVAC systems
• Experience managing onsite sub-contractors where required to execute work.

Skills / Qualifications

• Cert III Refrigeration / Air Conditioning and Electrotechnology or equivalent trade qualification
• Full Refrigerant Handling Licence
• Restricted Qld Electrical Licence
• Existing EWP, Working at Heights and Confined Space accreditation preferred
• SAP experience, desirable
• Valid Drivers’ Licence.
