Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a motivated HVAC Technician (Refrigeration or Electrical trade) to join our Melbourne team. The role offers autonomy, variety and opportunities to grow leadership skills.

Ideal candidates will have experience with chillers and commercial air conditioning, a Refrigeration or Electrical trade qualification with HVAC experience, and a Restricted Electrical License. Full working rights in Australia are required.

Qualifications

  • Experience with chillers and commercial air conditioning (highly desirable).
  • Trade qualification in Refrigeration or Electrical with HVAC experience.
  • Restricted Electrical License.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and routine maintenance.
  • Commission, install, overhaul, fault‑find, and service mechanical systems.
  • Work across equipment including package units, chillers, and central plant.
  • Gain exposure to Johnson Controls’ Building Management Systems.
  • Provide quotes for small works and manage sites as required.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings and plans.
  • Complete small commercial installations.

About the Role

Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking a motivated HVAC Technician (Refrigeration or Electrical trade) to join our Melbourne team. This role offers excellent autonomy, variety, and opportunities to grow your technical capability and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quotes for small works and manage sites as required
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings and plans
  • Complete small commercial installations
About You
  • Experience with chillers and commercial air conditioning (highly desirable)
  • Trade qualification in Refrigeration or Electrical with HVAC experience
  • Restricted Electrical License
  • Valid driver’s license
