Job summary

Johnson Controls in Melbourne is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join the Melbourne Service team. This hands-on role covers maintenance, repairs, commissioning and installations of commercial and industrial HVAC systems.

You will work with chillers, package units, split systems and central plant, and develop your technical skills through ongoing training and support while upholding safety and quality for customers.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or Electrical is required.
• Experience servicing commercial air conditioning systems.
• Chiller experience is highly regarded.
• Restricted Electrical Licence is required.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance across commercial HVAC systems.
• Commission, install, service, troubleshoot, and overhaul mechanical equipment.
• Work on chillers, package units, split systems, and central plant installations.
• Gain exposure to Johnson Controls' Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Prepare quotations for small works and manage service projects.
• Interpret drawings and plans; deliver high safety standards.
