Job summary

J & R Refrigeration in Cairns and Atherton is seeking an HVAC&R Service Technician to service and maintain commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems across Far North Queensland. The role offers hands-on diagnostics, control systems work, and opportunities to advance through mentoring and leadership pathways.

You will travel regionally, perform commissioning, provide technical reports, and collaborate with apprentices while developing your career in a supportive, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Sound electrical and controls knowledge.
• Professional communication and customer service.
• Experience with controls, commissioning, ammonia or industrial refrigeration is highly regarded but not essential.
