Job summary

Hitemp Insulation Pty Ltd in Wollongong NSW seeks an HVAC Installer. 3rd/4th year apprentices with install experience are encouraged to apply. You will install, service, and fault-find air conditioning systems, travel to client sites within about an hour, and perform safety checks and site inductions.

The role offers full-time work with tools, vehicle, and phone provided, and a variable salary based on experience. A NSW driver's licence and pre-employment checks are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate 3 in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration (UEE32211) is preferred; 3rd/4th year apprentices with install experience welcomed.
• Experience with compressed air systems and refrigeration systems is valued.
• Willingness to travel within approx 1hr of Wollongong to customer sites daily.
• Unrestricted NSW driver's licence and ability to pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission ducted and split-system air conditioning across major brands.
• Fault find, diagnose, and repair HVAC/refrigeration systems and components.
• Complete safety checklists pre and post job.
• Complete site inductions and entry requirements before client visits.
• Maintain documentation and reports for jobs completed.
• Adhere to Hitemp Safety Management Plan.
• Work unsupervised and as part of a crew.
• Provide strong customer service and liaison with clients.

HITEMP are looking to fill multiple positions for full-time, experienced and energetic, HVAC installers to join our expanding team.

Preferred: Certificate 3 in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration (UEE32211) - however 3rd or 4th year apprentices with install experience are also encouraged to apply

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission all major brands of ducted and split-system air conditioning
• Fault find, diagnose and repair all brands of air conditioning, refrigeration and HVAC systems and components
• Complete appropriate safety checklists both pre and post completion of job
• Complete all site inductions and entry requirements prior to entering client sites
• Maintain appropriate documentation and reports for all jobs completed
• Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the HITEMP Safety Management Plan
• Work unsupervised and part of a crew
• Customer service skills and liaison

About you

• Certificate 3 in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration (UEE32211) - 3rd or 4th year apprentices with install experience are also encouraged to apply
• Experience with compressed air systems and refrigeration systems also highly regarded
• Willingness to travel within approx 1hr of Wollongong to customer sites daily
• Maintain a reasonable level of fitness that allows you to complete the physical requirements of the tasks
• Reasonable level of knowledge to allow you to operate SIMPRO, mobile phone and tablet as required
• Pass any alcohol, drug or other testing as required to meet specific client requirements
• Pass a pre-employment (Cat 3) Medical
• Maintain an unrestricted NSW driver's license
• Represent Hitemp in a positive way to customers and avoid any attitudes or behaviours that may bring the reputation of Hitemp into disrepute
• Maintain all Hitemp equipment and provisions to a high standard
